Safaricom M-PESA Black Friday Deal: Get 5% Back For Using Lipa Na M-Pesa


Tomorrow (November 29th) is Friday and since it is the last Friday in November, it is Black Friday. Many brands and retailers will be offering crazy discounts on their products to lure you into shopping.

Safaricom is not an exception. The company has announced that customers will get 5% of their spending back if they pay using Lipa na M-Pesa. The offer will start tomorrow (November 29th) and will be valid till 1st December.

The offer has some caveats, however. The company says the offer will be available when you shop in select locations in the country – specifically in major towns and Cities. The offer will be available in Nairobi, Mombasa, Nakuru, Naivasha, Eldoret, and Kisumu. Participating locations majorly include Malls and some select outlets.

On top of that, this offer only applies transactions worth less than KES 20,001. Upon payment, customers will be notified via SMS on the cashback reward.

Here are the outlets participating in the Lipa Na M-PESA Black Friday deal;

  • Nairobi: Sarit, Westgate, The Junction, TRM, Village Market and Two Rivers.
  • Kisumu: Tuffoam, Mega Plaza, United Mall, Acacia Mall and Westend Mall.
  • Mombasa: Naivas Nyali and City Mall Nyali.
  • Nakuru: West Side Mall and Garden City and
  • Naivasha: Only at Buffalo Mall
  • Eldoret: Zion Mall and Rupa Mall

At Safaricom, we will be rewarding our customers every time they pay with M-PESA by giving them 5% of their spending back, ” says Sitoyo Lopokoiyit, Chief Financial Services Officer, Safaricom.
