More than 3 Million Safaricom Customers Subscribed To The Free YouTube Bundles To Watch #Eliud159


Today was the D-day when Kenya’s renowned Marathon runner Eliud Kipchoge was partaking his INEOS 159 Challenge. As promised before, Safaricom, Kenya’s biggest Telco company, offered free YouTube bundles to all of its subscribers. As per now, the offer is still valid; you can get your 1590MBs by dialing *159#.

According to a Tweet from the Telcos official Twitter handle, more 3 Million subscribers subbed for their free YouTube bundles, which explains why you may have been experiencing network outages, even until now.

About the #Eliud159 challenge, the marathoner did achiever the 1hur and 59 minutes challenge by running 42km in just 1hr 59minutes and 40 seconds becoming the first man in the world ever to run a marathon in less than 2 hours.

Speaking about the matter, President Uhuru Kenyatta said, “You’ve done it; you’ve made history and made Kenya proud while at it. We celebrate you and wish you God’s blessings.”

In a congratulatory message to the victory, CS of Sports Amina Mohammed said, “The greatest athletic nation on earth. Welcome to the era of the sub-2 Marathon! Made possible by Eliud Kipchoge.”
