Apple Reportedly Working on iPhone SE2 Meant To Lure iPhone 6 Owners To Upgrade

iPhone SE was first launched in 2016, primarily meant to meet the needs of users who needed a small pocketable version of the then considerable large sized 4.7-inch iPhone 6S. The iPhone SE featured a small 4.0-inch display, similar to the iPhone 5 but adopting iPhone 6S camera and internal hardware.

However, reports have surfaced that the company is working on a new version of the iPhone SE to be known as iPhone SE2. According to the Apple analyst Kuo, the iPhone SE2 will be launched by the company in the first quarter of 2020.

iPhone SE2 is touted to run on Apple’s new 13 Bionic chipset aided by 3GB of RAM. Exteriorly expect an iPhone 8-esque design – a 4.7-inch LCD display and Touch ID home button.

The device will be cheap as possible, and the company hopes this will at least draw some attention from iPhone 6 owners who are, apparently, never bothered with the latest features coming in newer iPhones.

With the new cheap iPhone, iPhone 6 owners will also get the privilege of enjoying Apple’s newly launched gaming subscription service as well as the latest iOS, version 13.

Furthermore, the iPhone SE2 running on Apple’s new chip means the device will feel snappy.  Kuo’s report runs flush with another separate report that was tipped last month of an iPhone SE successor being in the works at Apple.
