Huawei to launch Huawei Y9 Prime (2019) in Kenya later in June


Huawei has been on the light in Kenya with their Y-series devices. Seemingly its become a common trend for Huawei to launch devices in their Y-series in several years. Huawei Y9 is no exception.  The device set its foot on the market in 2018 for the first time but has been followed Y9 (2019) and now the Prime 2019 edition.

Huawei Y9 Prime is the pro version of the Huawei Y9 – 2019 edition that launched at the end of last year. Meaning you’ll get a little bit extra advantages with Y9 prime (2019) over the Huawei Y9 (2019).

Huawei has announced that the Y9 2019 edition will be launched in Kenya June this year. Huawei Y9 Prime features a 6.59-inch IPS LCD with 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution.

Notably, the device features a motorized pop-up camera skipping the notch on this one. A 4000mAh battery will probably power Huawei Y9(2019). Connectivity options include WiFi direct, Bluetooth, NFC, and USB type-C. Network support included is up to 4G LTE The device will launch in two variants, with either 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage or 4GB of RAM with 64GB of ROM. Both options feature expandable storage via microSD card up to 512GB.

The Huawei Y9 Prime (2019) will be going at a price range between Ksh 20,000 to 30,000. At this price range, there’s a lineup of excellent devices in Kenya already to choose from, but possibly the Huawei Y9 Prime (2019) has to be in the list.
