Samsung has unveiled two Galaxy A Series smartphones in Kenya

Samsung East Africa has unveiled two entry and mid-tier market smartphones dubbed the Galaxy A Series in the Kenyan market. The batch consists of the Galaxy A10, and Galaxy A20 which according to Samsung are targeted at the first-growing and tech-savvy millennials.

The two devices come barely a month after the launch of Samsung’s flagship S10 series.

Commenting on the newly launched phones, Samsung Electronics East Africa Head of Mobile division Charles Kimari said that the devices come loaded with features that will transform the way consumers use smartphones by allowing real-time content creation and sharing.

Galaxy A10

The Galaxy A10 comes with a  6.2-inch Infinity-V LCD display with a  resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels. The phone is powered by an octa-core Exynos 7884 processor, paired with 2GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage

It runs Android Pie and is powered by a 3,400mAh battery.

As far as the camera is concerned, the Samsung Galaxy A10 packs a 13-megapixel camera rear camera with an f/1.9 aperture. The selfie camera is a 5-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

It was launched in Red and Blue Black colours.

Galaxy A20

The Galaxy A20 features a 6.4-inch S-AMOLED display with Infinity-V waterdrop notch design with a resolution of 720 x 1560 pixels.

The device runs on Android 9 Pie with the company’s One UI and is powered by a large4,000mAh battery.

The Galaxy A20 is powered by the octa-core Exynos 7884 SoC, and comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage which can be further expanded via a microSD card to 512GB.

For the cameras, the Samsung Galaxy A20 packs a dual rear camera setup, which houses a primary 13-megapixel sensor with an f/1.9 lens and a secondary 5-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 lens. For the selfie, we are getting an 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 lens with fixed focus.

Additional features include a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and fast charging support as well as USB Type-C port.

Samsung is selling the Galaxy A10 for Ksh.11,999 while the Galaxy A20 will retail at 16,599.   Both phones will be available in Samsung Experience Stores, Phonelink store, Safaricom and all authorized outlets across the Country.
