Safaricom has introduced new packages for its Home Fiber customers. The company is calling it Internet Plus and is describing it as a converged service that will give customers access to Fiber, mobile data, voice minutes and unlimited SMS.

Basically, this is an additional service that customers can subscribe to in addition to the existing Fiber Home Packages.

The Internet Plus packages are as follows:

BRONZE plus SILVER plus GOLD plus PLATINUM Plus
Bandwidth   5mbps 10mbps 20mbps 40mbps
Data 2GB 4GB 4GB 4GB
X-net Minutes 100 200 200 200
SMS Unlimited Unlimited Unlimited Unlimited
TOTAL MONTHLY COST  Ksh. 3000 Ksh. 4499 Ksh. 5999 Ksh. 10,999

So how does Internet Plus work? Well, Safaricom Home Fiber customers will be able to access the service by simply dialling the USSD *400#. Safaricom says in a statement says the customer will be allowed to keep and use ALL the mobile data, minutes and unlimited SMS or even Sambaza all of them to a friend or family member of their choice.

To query their mobile data, voice minutes and unlimited SMS balance customers will simply have to dial  *100#, *200# and their mobile data resources on *544#. Safaricom has however limited the purchase of Internet Plus via MPESA only.
