Vivo is bringing its latest product, the Vivo Y19 to Kenya. The device will be an addition to the Y-series portfolio which the smartphone brand launched into the country in September last year.

The Vivo Y19 comes with a 6.53-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels at a pixel density of 394 pixels per inch (ppi) and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P65 processor and comes with 4GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage.

The Vivo Y19 runs Funtouch OS 9.2 based on Android 9 Pie and is powered by a huge 5000mAh non-removable battery with support for 18W dual-engine fast charging.

For the cameras, the Vivo Y19 packs a Triple Rear Camera setup which include a 16-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.78 aperture; a second 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a third 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The selfie camera is 16-megapixel with an f/2.0 aperture.

The Vivo Y19 is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards.

The Y19 as we mentioned earlier will be joining the Y- series which include the Y12, Y15, Y90 and Y17 currently retailing in stores countrywide. Vivo has always made it clear that it is targeting the youth with these Y Series devices.

Currently, the Y series devices retail at: Y12 – 14,999 Ksh, Y15 – 19999 Ksh, Y17- 24,999 Ksh, Y90 – 10999 Ksh. We should therefore expect the Y19 to cost around Ksh.20,000.
