Vivo has officially unveiled its first device in Kenya, Vivo Y15. Vivo Y15 was first announced by the company back in May, but in Kenya, this marks Vivo’s numbers one phone in the Kenyan market.
Announcing the news today, the company stated the device is now available in “shops near you” and will be selling at Ksh 21,999. At this price, you get a 6.35-inch IPS waterdrop display with 720 x 1544 pixels resolution.
On the inside, the device packs 4GB RAM, 64GB internal memory which can be bumped up to 256GB via microSD card. The device runs on a Mediatek MT6762 Helio P22 Octa-core processor paired with a PowerVR GE8320 for graphical processing.
In matters photography, Vivo Y15 packs a triple camera setup on the rear (13MP main + 8MP ultra-wide + 2MP depth sensor) and a 16MP selfie camera on the front with an f/2.0 aperture.
What is most exciting about this device is the massive 5000mAh battery. And a new thing about Vivo’s devices is they come with their android iteration dubbed Funtouch 9 on top of the latest Android 9.0 Pie. So be ready to experience a new UI when purchasing this device.
