Samsung Has sold 1 Million Galaxy Fold Smartphones Globally

Being among the most futuristic phones of the year, Samsung’s Galaxy Fold comes at a price. A serious price. But that does not hold back those who wish to get this new piece of tech that presents itself in a whole new dimension.

Apart from the price, we all know the Galaxy Fold had its faults and attracted criticism from the press. Even with the new form factor came skepticism on the durability of this phone.

However, all of these did not hold any water to potential buyers of the Galaxy Fold, who wanted to test the waters.

According to Samsung Electronics’ President Young Sohn, they have already sold 1 million units of the Galaxy Fold. This is the first time Samsung has revealed sales figures of the Fold and it was done in an interview at TechCrunch’s Disrupt 2019 event held in Berlin, Germany.

Samsung Galaxy Fold had a rocky start at launch, with several review units breaking making the company to recall all the units. The company later pushed forward the launch date to an indefinite date to redesign the fold and iron out the weak points, after which they relaunched it.

The Fold was also launched in Kenya in November at KES 237,999, on which the company claimed all the units had been sold out by day one. However, Samsung Kenya has confirmed that it is currently back in stock.

So if you want to get one, be sure to get in touch with them.
