Infinix Zero X, Zero X Pro, Zero X Neo With Periscope Lens Officially Launched


Last week we told you that Infinix was gearing up to unveil its latest device in the ZERO series, the Infinix ZERO X at the  Royal Observatory Greenwich in London. Well, the launch finally happened.

Infinix, it’s so much hyped Infinix Presents:  See Beyond online webinar event at the Royal Observatory Greenwich in London as part of the company’s strategic commercial partnership and commitment towards the world of exploration and discovery. 

At the event, Infinix unveiled its brand new ZERO X Pro smartphone that the company says sets the stage for a whole new era of mobile phone technology. It launched three variants, the Infinix Zero X, Zero X Pro, and Zero X Neo. 

The new phones come with a periscope lens that is coupled with the company’s proprietary Galileo Algorithm Engine. Infinix says this setup will enable users to capture high-resolution moon shots from their smartphones. 

“Infinix has a deep connection with space exploration and taking smartphone camera technology to new heights,”  said Skye Chen. “We are excited to bring the world of astronomy and the ability to capture it with Infinix’s cutting edge technology into the hands of the next generation so they can see beyond to a world they’ve only ever imagined. The Royal Observatory Greenwich felt like a natural fit for our support as I know their focus is to also  inspire a new generation.”

Infinix has not mentioned anything yet about the pricing when it plans to make these devices available in Kenya and other markets. 

Infinix Zero X features a 6.67-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and a 20:9 aspect ratio. It runs on Android 11 with XOS 7.6 on top and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G95 SoC, along with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. We are also getting some 3GB of Extended RAM. 

For the cameras, the Infinix Zero X features a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 64-megapixel primary sensor, along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide shooter, and an 8-megapixel sensor with a 60x periscope lens. The selfie camera is a 16-megapixel with a dual selfie flash.

The phone comes with a 4,500mAh battery paired with 45W fast charging.

The Infinix ZERO X Pro on the other hand also features the same 6.67-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) AMOLED display and MediaTek Helio G95. We are also getting a triple camera setup just that the primary sensor is 108-megapixel compared to the 64-megapixel sensor we have on the Zero X model. The selfie camera is 16-megapixel.

The Infinix ZERO X Pro comes with 128GB and 256GB of onboard storage options and packs a 5,000mAh battery.

Infinix Zero X Neo features a larger 6.78-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,460 pixels) IPS display with a 20.5:9 aspect ratio and a 90Hz refresh rate. It runs on Android 11 with XOS 7.6 on top and is powered by the same MediaTek Helio G95 SoC that is available on the Zero X and Zero X Pro paired with 8GB of RAM and some 128GB of internal storage.

For the cameras, the ​​Infinix Zero X Neo also has a triple rear camera setup comprising of a 48-megapixel primary sensor, along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide shooter and a periscope lens. The selfie camera is also a 16-megapixel with dual LED flash.

The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging.
