Infinix ZERO X Pro Camera Review

One of the best devices I have used from Infinix this year is the Infinix ZERO X. The company officially unveiled this series back in September comprising of three variants – the ZERO X Pro, ZERO X, and ZERO X NEO.

We got our hands on the Infinix ZERO X Pro and one of the key selling points that Infinix has been pushing with this phone is the cameras.

We have a full review for this phone coming up in the coming week but we already did the unboxing video which you can check below.

Truth be told Infinix went extra with the cameras on the Infinix ZERO X Pro bundling in some pretty exciting camera features.

Camera Benchmark test by Ubergizmo reveals that the phone beat some other devices including the Redmi Note 10 Pro, Vivo V21, Galaxy A52 among other devices. Ubergizmo even ranked it the best camera phone under $400.

The Infinix ZERO X Pro is equipped with a 108MP OIS ultra-night Venti camera comprising of an 8MP  periscope moonshot lens with 5X optical zoom and 60X hybrid zoom and a 120° field of view (FOV) 8MP  ultra-wide & macro lens.

The cameras are enhanced with Quad-LED flash and Infinix’s innovative Hybrid  Image Stabilization (including OIS+EIS) solution to capture every detail in a larger field of view smoothly while reducing blurred images.

We are also getting a number of camera features including AI Cam, Beauty, Portrait, Super Night, Slow Motion, Panorama, Super Macro and of course super moon among others.

The Super Moon Mode is the major highlight here and combines a 60X periscope moonshot camera and what Infinix is calling the Galileo Algorithm Engine. The Galileo Algorithm Engine, the company says combines lunar exposure and focus locking systems to quickly adjust the focus motor to the clearest predicted position, while revolution elimination algorithms calculate and eliminate the influence of natural tidal forces enabling a clear shot of the Moon.

Simultaneously, lunar detail protection algorithms retain detailed textures and artificial intelligence (AI) deep learning enhancement algorithms improve the details and effects of the image subject. When turned on, users can achieve one of the clearest and detailed smartphone images of the night sky.

Further, the Infinix ZERO X Pro has a 16-megapixel camera sensor at the front for selfies. Camera modes here include AI Cam, Beauty, Portrait, Super Night, Wide Selfie among others.

Check sample selfies below.

I also need to mention that the Infinix ZERO X Pro offers high-quality videos with 960 FPS super slow-motion and 4K time-lapse. The phone is available in two colours in Kenya: Nebula Black and Starry Silver, at a retail price of  Ksh 36,999.
