Infinix HOT 7 officially goes on sale in Kenya


The Infinix HOT 7 was spotted on Infinix’s e-commerce site X-Mall last week. Infinix had opened pre-orders for the device and now the device has officially gone on sale today.

The Infinix HOT 7 according to Infinix Mobile is an upgraded smartphone for optimized performance and will be available for purchase on X-Mall and Infinix retail stores across the country.  The phone will retail at Ksh. 9,999 for the 1GB/16GB variant and Ksh.10,999 for the 2GB/32GB variant.

The HOT 7 is the successor of the HOT 6 that was launched in May 2018. The HOT 7 featured 6.0” 18:9 Infinity screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a powerful two rear-facing cameras of 13MP and 2MP lens adopting, Face Unlock capability, and a 4000mAh battery capacity. The device also ran on AndroidTM 8.0 (Oreo) operating system.

The Infinix HOT 7, on the other hand, comes with a 6.2″ HD + notch display, a Quad-core MediaTek MT6580A processor, 16GB/32GB built-in storage expandable up to 128GB with a memory card.

The 1GB variant is an Android Go device which is basically a stripped down version of Android designed to run on entry-level smartphones with 1GB of RAM or less. It comes with a single 13-megapixel rear camera while the 2GB variant comes with Android 8.1 and dual 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel camera. Both phones have an 8-megapixel front shooter for selfies and are powered by 4000mAh battery.

The Hot 7 comes in four colours: Midnight Black, Champagne Gold, Aqua Blue, and the first gradient design – Cosmic Purple.
