Visa and Kenya Airways Partner to Launch Co-Branded Cards

Visa has entered into a strategic co-brand partnership with Kenya Airways (KQ) to enhance the travel experience for customers and accelerate the adoption of digital payments across the aviation sector.
Under the agreement, the two companies will introduce co-branded credit and debit cards designed to offer travelers a seamless and rewarding experience. The cards will come with a range of exclusive benefits including a robust rewards program where customers earn points on every purchase, redeemable for flights, upgrades, and other travel-related services. Travelers will also enjoy access to airport lounges, priority boarding, and additional baggage allowances, making their journeys more comfortable and convenient.
Beyond travel perks, the co-branded cards will enable secure and efficient digital payment options for flight bookings, in-flight purchases, and other travel-related transactions. Customers can also look forward to special discounts and promotional offers on Kenya Airways services when using the Visa-powered cards.
“We are excited to partner with Kenya Airways to bring innovative payment solutions to travelers in Kenya and beyond,” said Chad Pollock, Vice President and General Manager, Visa East Africa. “This co-brand agreement reflects our commitment to enhancing the customer experience and promoting the adoption of digital payments in the travel industry.”
Julius Thairu, Chief Commercial and Customer Officer at Kenya Airways, welcomed the partnership, stating, “We are excited to join forces with Visa to deliver modern digital payment options that improve every step of the journey—from booking to boarding. This partnership reflects our shared goal of transforming travel with technology, and we look forward to providing great value to our customers worldwide.”
The co-branded cards are expected to roll out later this year, with both Visa and Kenya Airways working closely to ensure a smooth launch and widespread adoption among their customers.
