Bolt’s New Feature Lets You Book Rides In Advance

Customers using Bolt will now be able to book rides 72 hours in advance after the ride-hailing company rolled out a new feature,  Scheduled Rides.

Bolt says the new feature is aimed at providing passengers with the utmost convenience and peace of mind during their daily commutes and special events.

“We are happy to introduce Scheduled Rides, a significant feature that adds even more convenience to our valued passengers.’’ Linda Ndungu, Bolt Country Manager said.

‘’Planning for a future trip is now easier than it has ever been on Bolt. Passengers have more control over their business and personal travel, making mobility seamless and more enjoyable,’’ she added.

Apart from advance booking, the new feature guarantees availability of drivers meaning passengers will no longer need to worry about availability, especially during peak hours or crowded events. It also allows for flexibility as passengers can choose their preferred vehicle type and add special instructions for drivers as well as punctuality.

How Scheduled Rides Work:

  1. Open the Bolt app and enter your destination as usual.
  2. Select “Schedule Ride” and choose your desired pickup date and time.
  3. Confirm your booking.

Bolt says it remains committed to continuously seeking ways to elevate the overall user experience on its app, by innovating and utilising strategic investments, to deliver the most affordable, convenient and enjoyable experience to all users.
