Podcast Incubation Studio SemaBOX to launch podcast distribution platform


Podcast incubation studio SemaBOX is launching a podcast distribution platform to help podcasters on its network to reach more audiences.

Known as WAZO, SemaBOX says the platform will also help creators to drive discovery and monetization of their podcasts. 

Launched in September 2020, is Kenya’s largest producer of podcasts by volume and hours of content. According to data listed on its website, the company has produced 340 shows with up to 1074 episodes.

Through its podcasting studio, the media startup enables creators to produce and curate podcasts as well as help them distribute the content across different podcast platforms.  

With the new platform, the firm hopes to become the leading African podcast studio and distribution platform connecting creators, listeners and advertisers digitizing storytelling on the continent based on innovative technical solutions 

In March last year, the company revealed that its revenues had hit more than Sh5.5 million. 

SemaBOX will launch the podcast distribution platform on July 12th.
