Samsung’s Galaxy A34 5G and Galaxy A54 5G officially launched in Kenya


Samsung is finally making its latest devices in the A Series – Galaxy A34 5G and Galaxy A54 5G available in Kenya.

The two devices will be available for purchase starting today for Ksh.44, 995, and Ksh.69, 995 respectively. 

Samsung says these new additions to the popular Galaxy A series will help users shoot steady and crisp videos, see clearly even in bright conditions, and do more of the things they love with a battery life that lasts more than two days.

Let’s look at each of the two devices:

Galaxy A34 5G

The Samsung Galaxy A34 5G features a 6.60-inch touchscreen display offering a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels (HD+) and a 120 Hz refresh rate.

The device is powered by a 2.6 MHz octa-core processor and comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. The Galaxy A34 5G runs Android 13 and is powered by a 5000mAh non-removable battery. 

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy A34 5G on the rear packs a triple camera setup featuring a 48-megapixel (f/f/1.8) primary camera; an 8-megapixel (f/f/2.2) camera, and a 5-megapixel (f/f/2.4) camera. There is a single front camera setup for selfies, featuring a 13-megapixel sensor with an f/f/2.2 aperture.

The phone runs One UI 5.0 based on Android 13. It was launched in Awesome Lime, Awesome Graphite and Awesome Silver.

The Galaxy A34 5G also features an IP67 rating for dust and water protection.

Galaxy A54 5G

The Samsung Galaxy A34 5G on the other hand comes in two variants, 128GB and 256GB. Samsung is selling the 8GB/128GB variant at Ksh.54,995 while the 8GB/256GB is retailing at Ksh.69, 995.

The phone comes with a 6.40-inch touchscreen display offering a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels (HD+) and a 120 Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a 2.4 MHz octa-core processor. 

The Samsung Galaxy A54 5G runs Android 13 and is powered by a 5000mAh non-removable battery.

For the optics, the Samsung Galaxy A54 5G on the rear packs a triple camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel primary camera; a 12-megapixel camera, and a 5-megapixel camera. For selfies, it features a 32-megapixel sensor.

The smartphone just like the A34, runs One UI 5.0 is based on Android 13 and is available in three color options, including Awesome Lime, Awesome Graphite, and Awesome White.
