PesaPal to accept Airtel Money payments in Uganda


Nairobi-based fintech company PesaPal has partnered with Airtel Mobile Commerce Uganda Limited (AMCUL) and PesaPal Uganda to provide payment solutions through Airtel Money.

PesaPal is among East Africa’s oldest fintech companies that has created payment solutions that enable businesses to collect payments online and offline while allowing anyone to pay from their mobile money, local and international cards, or directly from their bank.

Emmy Rono, PesaPa’s Country Manager for Uganda said, “We are committed to innovating and offering a secure payment environment while complying with the highest safety standards. In all we do, we think of the customer first. We think, convenience, efficiency, and security. Our business partners in retail, hospitality, and other sectors, and individual customers will enjoy varied payment options that suit their needs without any limitations.”

PesaPal point-of-sale machine(Sabi POS) merchants will now be able to accept Airtel Money payments, widening the Visa and Mastercard options already available to customers.

This partnership comes at a time when the East African region continues to witness growing payment solutions powered by innovative technologies.

PesaPal Uganda is available throughout the country offering both online and offline payment  options through its Sabi POS machines. They are avialble in  hotels, restraunts, supermarkets, fuel stations among other sellers.
