OPPO A77 With MediaTek Helio G35 SoC Launched in Kenya for Ksh. 26,999

OPPO has today launched the OPPO A77 smartphone in Kenya. The phone is the company’s latest addition to its A-series after the A96 that was launched back in March.

OPPO A77 will be available for purchase at a  recommended retail price of Ksh. 26,999. Customers can purchase it from OPPO’s official online store and E-commerce partners like Jumia, Kilimall, Sky Garden and Masoko.

It sports a 6.56-inch LCD HD+ display panel with a 60Hz refresh rate and a waterdrop notch. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G35 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM. It offers 64GB of onboard storage and carries a micro-SD card slot.

There is also a 5G With MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC variant. OPPO is however not making it available in the local market.

The newly unveiled OPPO A77 4G features a dual rear camera setup of 50-megapixel and an 8-megapixel front shooter for selfies.

For the battery size, the phone packs a 5000mAh battery with 33W SuperVOOC fast charging support. OPPO claims that with a 5% battery charge, you can stay connected to your loved one for over 50 minutes straight. For those who like charging their phones at night when tired and craving a good rest, OPPO A77’s AI night charge protection avoids overcharging issues smartly. With the anti-burnout protection, it schedules a segmented battery charging plan and allows you to sleep comfortably.

OPPO A77 runs ColorOS 12.1, based on Android 12 out-of-the-box and is available in two colour options:  starry black and sky blue. The Oppo A77 also features an Ultra-linear stereo speaker and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
