LG announces 2022 gram laptop lineup

LG Electronics is launching a series of seven new gram laptops specially crafted to cater for a variety of users and offer premium performance through innovative features.

The  2022 LG gram lineup of premium laptops includes:

  • 17 (17Z90Q),
  • gram 16 (16Z90Q),
  • gram 15 (15Z90Q),
  • gram 14 (14Z90Q),
  • gram 2-in-1 (16T90Q and 14T90Q),
  • and the series’ first-ever portable monitor, +view for LG gram (16MQ70).

Inside each of these models is the 12th Gen Intel Core processor and a  Gen4 NVMe SSD. The company says that the tools and features in these new models boost overall performance by nearly 22%, compared to the 2021 gram models.

Seo Young-Jae, senior vice president and head of the IT business unit of LG Electronics Business Solutions  said,  “The 2022-gram series honours the brand’s identity and heritage with supreme portability, outstanding performance, and optimized user experiences.”

The new set of laptops are built to offer “sleek, ultra-light designs while adopting innovative software and the latest hardware to deliver even more power and convenience.”

“Ideal for dynamic people on the move, LG gram products are designed to maximize productivity no matter where you are or what you’re working on.” Said Seo.

One of the interesting features of this lineup is the LG Glance, an AI-based software solution that enhances security and convenience. The LG Glance automatically locks the screen as soon as the user steps away from their laptop. It also alerts the user and blurs the content they are working on if someone is peeking at the screen from over their shoulder. In other words, as soon as a person steps behind or near the user and the camera is within a field that can detect it, it gets activated.

The new devices are versatile, allowing the user to alternate between laptop and tablet usage efficiently. The convertibility feature is captivating by design and allows convenient working in whatever mode a user selects.
