After globally launching the Redmi Note 11 series on January 26, Xiaomi is now officially making these devices available in Kenya. The new series comprises three models in total, the Redmi Note 11 Pro, Redmi Note 11S and Redmi Note 11.
All three models in the Redmi Note 11 series come with full-HD+ AMOLED displays and have up to 128GB of onboard storage and come with MIUI 13.
The series brings powerful upgrades to its camera system, charging speed, display and SoC —making flagship-level smartphone performance more accessible than before.
Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11S come in three variants 6GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB while Redmi Note 11 comes in 4GB+64GB, 4GB+128GB and 6GB+128GB variants.
Xiaomi Kenya says all the variants of Redmi Note 11S and Redmi Note 11 will be available in the market immediately but Redmi Note 11 Pro variants will be available from early March.
Redmi Note 11 specifications
Redmi Note 11 features a 6.43-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) AMOLED Dot Display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and up to 90Hz refresh rate. The display also comes with a peak brightness of up to 1,000 nits. Under the hood, the Redmi Note 11 has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC, along with up to 6GB of RAM. As we mentioned earlier, we are also getting 4GB+128GB and 6GB+128GB variants.
The phone runs on MIUI 13 based on Android 11.
For the cameras, we are getting a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 wide-angle lens. The camera setup also includes an 8-megapixel ultra-wide shooter, 2-megapixel macro shooter, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, the Redmi Note 11S has a 16-megapixel selfie camera sensor at the front paired with an f/2.4 lens.
Redmi comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W Pro fast charging.
Redmi Note 11S specifications
Just like the regular Redmi Note 11, the Redmi Note 11S comes also features a 6.43-inch full-HD+ AMOLED Dot Display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone, however, has an octa-core MediaTek Helio G96 SoC as a coupled with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Again, it comes in three variants of 6GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB and 8GB+128GB
For the cameras, the Redmi Note 11S comes with a quad rear camera setup that features a 108-megapixel primary Samsung HM2 sensor, with an f/1.9 wide-angle lens. The rear camera setup also includes an 8-megapixel ultra-wide shooter, 2-megapixel macro shooter, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The selfie camera is a 16-megapixel sensor paired with an f/2.4 lens.
It comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W Pro fast charging and also comes with MIUI 13.
Redmi Note 11 Pro specifications
The big brother here is the Redmi Note 11 Pro which features a 6.67-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) AMOLED Dot Display with an up to 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,200 nits of peak brightness. It runs on Android 11 with MIUI 13 on top.
The phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G96 SoC, along with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. For optics, there is a quad rear camera setup comprising a 108-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.9 wide-angle lens, along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide shooter. The camera setup also includes a 2-megapixel macro shooter and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The Redmi Note 11 Pro has a 16-megapixel selfie camera sensor at the front, with an f/2.4 lens for all your favorite selfies.
Just like the Redmi Note 11 and Redmi Note 11S, the Redmi Note 11 Pro also packs a 5,000mAh battery. It, however, supports 67W Turbo fast charging.

Price and Availability
Redmi Note 11 Pro pricing starts at Ksh. 29,999/- for the 6+64GB variant, Ksh. 33,499/- for the 6+128GB while the 8+128GB variant will retail at Ksh.34,999/-.
Xiaomi on the other hand will be selling the Redmi Note 11S at Ksh. 22,999 for the 6+64GB, Ksh.27,999 for the 6+128GB and Ksh. 29,999 for the 8+128GB variant.
Redmi Note 11 will be available for Ksh. 19,999 for the 4+64GB variant, Ksh.22,499 for the 4+128GB variant while the 6+128GB will be selling at Ksh. 23,999/-.

Last week, Xiaomi Kenya kicked off the Redmi Note 11 Series challenges by launching a campaign song by Exray, Ndovu Kuu and Jovial and inviting people to participate in the music and dance challenge on Tiktok and Instagram.
