Knock Twice to See the Contents of your 2021 LG InstaView Refrigerator

The LG InstaView Door-in-Door Refrigerator is now available for purchase in Kenya from LG brand shop or LG recommended retailers across the country.

LG first introduced these refrigerators at CES 2021 and was also named 2021 Innovation Awards Best of Innovation winner.

The LG InstaView Door-in-Door Refrigerator features a sleek glass panel that illuminates with two quick knocks on the right-hand refrigerator door, letting you see inside the easy-access compartment without ever opening the door.

Door-in-Door technology also aids in the organisation of everyday favourites for quick and easy access to often-used items without having the need to open the entire refrigerator.

These new side-by-side models of 2021 offer a “larger, more immersive tinted glass panel that complements the new seamless stainless-steel flat door panel design for the ultimate elegant aesthetic never before offered on side-by-side configurations.”

InstaView also allows you to see inside the fridge without opening it. When not in use, the panel is dark. Knock on it twice and it becomes completely transparent, allowing you to view the contents. In short, this technology enables the reduction of the number of times the user has to open and close the door.

“The popularity of LG appliances during this difficult year came as quite a surprise to us,” Lyu Jae-cheol, president of LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solution Company said during the launch. “We have leveraged the increase in consumer interest and pushed the boundaries of appliance innovation to deliver exciting products in 2021.”

There is also a 23 per cent increase in the size of the new InstaView window than previous models, which makes seeing what’s inside easier than ever.

Moreover, the Door-In-Door system lets you open the small section to grab drinks and other snacks.
