TECNO Camon 16 is coming to Kenya soon. TECNO’s local office has announced plans to launch the device on September 3rd with official sales starting on the 4th of September.
The Camon 16 will be the successor of the Camon 15 that was launched in April of this year. Just like what we saw with the Camon 15, we expect TECNO to launch two models – The Camon 16 and Premier model.
We are not yet sure if TECNO will also be unveiling the Camon 16 Air. No word has been said about this.
TECNO Says the launch of Camon 16, their next generation of camera-focused phones with a global AR conference.
‘’It‘s no doubt that the augmented AR launch event will create an even more stimulating and vivid experience.’’ the company says.
Remember as we mentioned, the Camon Series is always about the Cameras. The CAMON 16 series will come embedded with upgraded 64MP back and 48MP front, according to a teaser sent to us by the company’s local office.
The front camera will be dual-camera setup, the first we’re seeing on a TECNO device.

What else should we expect? We’re not sure because TECNO has not mentioned anything yet but we might be getting a Full HD display that may support 90Hz refresh rate. (We hope this actually happens).
