Vivo Kenya has been in the Kenyan market for the past few months. But the company’s presence has only been seen on Twitter so far. In a move to stamp its mark in the Kenyan market, the company has officially opened its regional offices in Nairobi.

In addition to that, the company also released its new smartphone, Vivo V17 Pro, uniquely marked by its Dual Pop up selfie camera. Notably, the dual selfie cameras are contained in one retractable motor.

The phone itself features intense colors and an excellent design marked by the well-cut rounded edges and a full-view display.

Part of the main features presented by the Vivo V17 Pro is the quad-camera lenses at the back with an 8MP Super Wide-angle camera lens, a 48MP Sony IMX582 primary lens, a 2MP bokeh lens and lastly a 13MP telephoto lens with 2X optical zoom and 10X digital zoom.  The dual popup selfie camera has a 32MP primary camera and an 8MP wide-angle sensor.

Now, on the hardware, Vivo V17 Pro has an in-display fingerprint reader, Snapdragon 675, 8GB RAM paired with 128GB of internal storage, 6.44-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display and a 4100mAh battery with 18W fast charging.

In general, this device is meant for millennials. There is a beautiful design, not to mention the cameras, an iconic dual pop-up selfie camera, and a 6.44-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Ultra FullView™ Display.

Speaking at the event, Vivo Kenya CEO, Arthur Xian said, “The creation of V17 Pro once again showcases our strong consumer-centric innovation approach. The new V series member brings brilliant camera systems on both the front and back of the smartphone to empower consumers to redefine their photography experience.”

About the retail price, the phone will be available for Ksh.40,999.

As a company, Vivo says they are actively investing in offline retail stores to give consumers a first-hand experience with their smartphones. In addition to the newly launched Nairobi CBD center, Vivo Kenya plans to launch new centers in Mombasa and Eldoret in the next six months.
