Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 will be available in all retail stores from 6th July


Huawei launched the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 just recently. Pre-orders for the device started on 4th July and ends today (5th June) with the phone officially going on sale across the county starting from 6th July 2019. 

According to Huawei, the one-week pre-order period saw over 1000 devices ordered through various partners including Jumia and Lipa Later. Consumers who purchased the device also got free Bluetooth headsets. 

“We would like to appreciate all our partners who ensured, we meet the target during the pre-order period. We are also glad that consumers are still confident in our products as based on the number of pre-orders made across the country. ‘’ Huawei Mobile Country President, Steven Li said.

And now, Huawei has announced that it will be holding a public launch for the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 at Two Rivers Mall on Saturday 6th July followed with a number of mall activations across the country including The Hub Karen, TRM, Sarit Centre Mall and The Junction Mall.  

Among those attending the Two Rivers public launch are King Kaka, Nick Mutuma, Jaymo yule Msee and Njugush. 

Huawei says they will also have a winner walk away with a Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 after participation in the on-ground activities that includes gaming and spin the wheel.

The Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 features a motorized pop-up camera skipping the notch and 6.59-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels at a pixel density of 391 pixels per inch (ppi) and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. It is powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 710F processor and comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB  of internal storage.

The Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 runs EMUI 9.0 based on Android Pie and is powered by a 4000mA battery.

For the cameras as we said it features a motorized pop-up selfie camera which is 16-megapixel with an f/2.0 aperture. The rear camera is 16-megapixel with an f/1.8 aperture; a second 8-megapixel camera and a third 2-megapixel camera.

Other features include a rear fingerprint sensor, GPS, USB-Type C and 4G LTE support. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity support.
