WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook Are All Down

Looks like all the popular social media apps WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and Facebook Messenger are all down.

Users from different parts of the world are reporting not being able to access the apps on Monday evening.

”Sorry, something went wrong. We’re working on it and we’ll get it fixed as soon as we can,” an error message on the Facebook website said.

WhatsApp and Instagram apps continued to work, but users are unable to send messages or even share a WhatsApp status.

According to DownDetector, an online platform that provides users with real-time information about the status of various websites and services, the issues started at around 18:44 EAT.

Facebook has not issued an official update about the outage but confirmed the outage in a tweet.

”We’re aware that some people are having trouble accessing our apps and products. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience,” it said

WhatsApp also confirmed the outage saying it’s working to get things back to normal

”We’re aware that some people are experiencing issues with WhatsApp at the moment. We’re working to get things back to normal and will send an update here as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience” the tweet read.
