Safaricom Partners With Showmax on One-Month free Streaming Offer for Home Fibre Customers

Safaricom Home Fibre customers will be able to enjoy one-month unlimited access to Showmax at no cost starting this April. The telco has partnered with the streaming service for an offer it says is especially targeted at families during this April holiday season.

Well, I have not watched Game of Thrones, but if you have and use Safaricom Home Fibre, this new offer means you will be able to stream the series which enters its eighth season on April 15th. The service will also offer Supa Modo, the critically acclaimed Kenyan film starting April 4th.

“We are glad to partner with Showmax to bring a whole world of fun and entertainment to our customers. Our fibre service has continued to record strong demand to connect more homes as more families seek to take advantage of the different possibilities, from a wide selection of entertainment options, home security, to the ability to comfortably work from home. We remain keen on such partnerships in an effort to meet this demand,” said Sylvia Mulinge, Chief Customer Officer, Safaricom.

All Safaricom Home customers will automatically receive a link to the service once they renew their subscription through M-PESA between 24th March and 15th May 2019.

The link will allow customers to log in to Showmax from up to 5 devices and to stream from two devices simultaneously. Customers can further extend the validity of their subscription to the service for KES 250 per month by dialling *400*3# and selecting the Showmax option.

Looks like I am going to miss out on this. My area is not yet covered by Safaricom Fibre.

Safaricom says Home Fibre service now reaches more than 200,000 homes across the country including Nairobi, Thika, Nakuru, Mombasa, Kisumu, Naivasha, Kericho, Nyeri, Embu, Meru, Bungoma, Kakamega, Eldoret, Kitale and Nanyuki.
