One of the devices we saw HMD Global, the licensed makers of Nokia phones unveil in April this year under its C series was the Nokia C20. The smartphone was launched alongside the Nokia C10, the Nokia 20, the Nokia X10, the Nokia, the Nokia G10 and the Nokia G10
The Nokia C20 is a budget-friendly device targeting budget-conscious consumers. HMD is selling this device for Ksh.11,490.
I also need to mention that the company in June also released the Nokia C20 Plus which comes as an upgrade to the Nokia C 20. The phone has not yet been made available in the local market but we will be talking about it in our subsequent articles.
In this article, we will be focusing on the Nokia C20.
We have reviewed a number of Nokia C series smartphones on this website. From the Nokia C1, to the Nokia C2 (Review) and the Nokia C3, and one thing has been clear, HMD has been trying to capture the budget market segment with these devices.
You can’t really compare the Nokia C series smartphones to mid-range phones. As Android Go devices, their core focus is always to get people online and on Google in the cheapest way possible.
Nokia C series main appeal, of course, is the budget price, which comes with a lite Android experience. The Nokia C20 for example as we mentioned costs just Ksh.11,490.
Nokia C20 specs
The smartphone comes with a slightly bigger display at 6.52-inch with a resolution of 720×1600 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. It is powered by an octa-core Unisoc SC9863A processor and comes with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 256GB) with a dedicated slot.
The Nokia C20 runs Android 11 (Go edition) and is powered by a 3000mAh battery which according to Nokia should be able to give you all-day battery life.
For the cameras, the phone on the rear packs a 5-megapixel camera and a 5-megapixel camera on the front for selfies.
The Nokia C20 is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. It is available in Dark Blue and Sand color options.
