Invest Africa CEO joins ACG Africa as it pursues infrastructure investment

African Collaborations Group (ACG Africa) has appointed Invest Africa CEO Chantelé Carrington to its Advisory Board in an effort to engage more investors in major infrastructure and mixed-use development projects across the continent.
Carrington’s appointment is expected to help the organization strengthen relationships with institutional investors and international businesses, particularly as it advances its Victory District™ initiative, which focuses on developing large-scale sports and entertainment districts.
Carrington has more than 20 years of experience in financial services, investment advisory and cross-border investment, and has worked across Africa, the United States, the Middle East, Asia and Europe. She became CEO of Invest Africa in January 2024.
Before joining Invest Africa, she held several senior positions at PwC, including Strategic Head of International Markets for the UK. In her position, she supervised investment activities across several global markets. She also served for five years as Chief Operating Officer of PwC UK’s Africa Group for the UK-Africa Alliance, working across financial services, infrastructure, government and public-sector projects, as well as transactions and advisory services.
Her background in international investment is expected to support ACG Africa’s efforts to connect viable projects with investors capable of financing and participating in their development.
Carrington is also a member of the UK Government’s Investors Group for Africa and the External Advisory Board of the UK-Africa Investment Summit. She previously chaired the Advisory Group of the Technical Assistance Facility for the 2020 UK-Africa Investment Summit.
“Chantelé brings to our Advisory Board what every infrastructure origination platform ultimately needs: access to the investor community. As CEO of Invest Africa, she leads a platform of over four hundred member organizations that include precisely the institutions, private equity firms, FDIs and multinationals capable of financing and participating in Victory District™ projects. As a member of the UK Government’s Investor Group for Africa, she connects at the political level where investment decisions are shaped. Her appointment strengthens ACG’s ability to connect bankable projects to bankable capital.” Said Nicolas Pompigne-Mognard, Founder and Executive Chairman of ACG Africa.
ACG Africa works to bring governments, investors, development finance institutions, sports organizations and infrastructure partners together to develop financially sustainable sports and entertainment districts. These projects are designed to combine different commercial and public-facing activities within larger development hubs.
Furthermore, Carrington’s appointment to the organization is expected to widen access to institutional capital and strengthen the collaborations needed to move its proposed developments forward.
