Facebook is rolling out funded shows for ‘Watch’.

A couple of weeks ago, Facebook introduced Watch, a new platform for shows on Facebook. Watch, according to the social media giant is a platform for all creators and publishers to find an audience, build a community of passionate fans, and earn money for their work.

On Facebook, videos are discovered through friends and bring communities together. ‘’As more and more people enjoy this experience, we’ve learned that people like the serendipity of discovering videos in News Feed, but they also want a dedicated place they can go to watch videos’’

Last year, Facebook launched the Video tab in the US, which offered a predictable place to find videos on Facebook. Now with Watch, the company said wanted to make it even easier for users to catch up with shows they love. ‘‘Watch’ will be available on mobile, on desktop and laptop and in our TV apps,” Daniel Danker, Director of Product at Facebook, had said.

Now it looks like Facebook is officially beginning to roll out the funded shows on the platform.

According to a report published on According to a report in Digiday Business Insider’s lifestyle brand insider is debuting two new shows, “The Great Cheese Hunt,” and “It’s Cool, But Does It Really Work?”

News and issues publisher Attn will also premiere “We Need to Talk,” on Thursday which will be followed by “Health Hacks,” show on Friday.

Digiday also reports that food video giant Tastemade is debuting four shows, including “Safe Deposit,” “Struggle Meals,” “Food to Die For” and “Kitchen Little,” over the next week.

Facebook is said to have signed a deal with more than 30 different content partners including Tastemade, and Mashable, to kick-start Watch.

‘’We’re excited to see how creators and publishers use shows to connect with their fans and community. ‘’ Facebook said.

Facebook will be introducing Watch to a limited group of people in the US and plan to bring the experience to more people soon. Similarly, the company says it will be opening up shows to a limited group of creators and plan to roll out to all soon.
