TECNO Announces Spark 6, its latest Budget Smartphone

It can connect with multiple audio output sources with Bluetooth Audio Share

TECNO continues the refresh of its smartphone line. After launching its most powerful phone yet, TECNO Camon 16, the company has officially announced Spark 6, its latest budget phone.

Compared to the Spark 5, TECNO Spark 6 features performance upgrades, a more prominent display, and camera improvement, at least on paper. It, however, retains a similar look on the front, but the rear camera module is now circular shaped.

Starting with the display, TECNO Spark 6 features a 6.8-inch HD+ LCD panel with 480 nits brightness, 264 PPI, and a 20.5:9 aspect ratio. Like the predecessor, Spark 6 has a hole punch on the top-left side of the display where the 8-megapixel selfie camera is fitted.

On the back, TECNO Spark 6 has a circular camera module with four camera lenses. The primary sensor is 16-megapixels, assisted by three other 2-megapixel lenses for macro shots, depth sensing, and AI scenes. You also get an LED flashlight built-in the camera module while the fingerprint sensor is just below the entire module.

Significant improvements lie in the background. The phone has MediaTek’s Helio G70 processor paired with 4GB of memory. Internal storage has been doubled from 32GB in the Spark 5 to 64GB. Besides, you can still get more storage by slapping in a microSD card.

With Bluetooth Audio Share, you can connect your phone with more than one output source simultaneously without disconnecting. For instance, you can play music from two pairs of wireless earbuds at the same time.

The rest of the specifications are pretty standard; Android 10 (HiOS 7.0 on top), 5,000mAh battery, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and headphone jack. TECNO Spark 6 ships in three colors; black, blue, purple, and orange.

It’s yet to come to the Kenyan market but will be selling at around KES 14,000 when it does.
