POCO M4 Pro smartphone launched in Kenya for Ksh. 25k

One of Xiaomi’s sub-brands POCO has announced the launch of the POCO M4 Pro in Kenya. The POCO M4 Pro will be available in two variants: 6GB+128GB for Ksh 24,999 and 8GB+256GB for Ksh. 29,999.

At that price, the POCO M4 Pro comes with some great specs including a 90Hz AMOLED display combined with dual speakers, and a 64MP high-resolution main camera, powered by a high-performance MediaTek Helio G96, and some 33W Pro fast charging.

“At POCO, we strive to surpass customers’ expectations and go above and beyond to provide the best experience at an affordable price,” said Kevin Qiu, Head of POCO Global. “For consumers looking for a superior and fun entertainment experience at an unbeatable price, POCO M4 Pro is a highly competitive option.”

POCO M4 Pro according to the company is an entertainment powerhouse that combines unbeatable affordability, quality, and performance.

POCO M4 Pro Specs

POCO M4 Pro comes with a 6.43-inch screen with an AMOLED DotDisplay for the first time in any POCO M series. We are also getting a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate, offering a high sensitivity to every interaction with the device. The display display offers a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9

The phone is powered by MediaTek Helio G96 chipset that can handle anything a user might throw at them. It comes in two variants: 6GB+128GB  and 8GB+256GB. If the 8GB of RAM isn’t enough, Dynamic RAM Expansion Technology on the phone enables the transfer of an extra 3GB from the 256GB of ROM. Storage can be expanded to up to 1TB.

It runs Android 11 and is powered by a 5000mAh battery. POCO claims the M4 Pro’s 33W Pro fast charging full recharges the battery in only an hour. Fortunately, if time is of the essence, the company says you can charge the phone for only 10 minutes, which amounts to a substantial two hours of video playback.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the POCO M4 Pro on the rear packs a dual-camera setup featuring a 64MP high-resolution main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro lens. The triple camera also comes with a number of features including slow-motion video, time-lapse video, and night mode. The selfie camera on the other hand is 16MP.

The M4 Pro also comes with dual speakers for immersive sound experience, a Z-axis linear motor for responsive haptic feedback, and the all-new MIUI 13 for a stable and engaging user experience.

The phone will be available in two color options – Power Black and Cool Blue.
