itel A56 now available in Kenya for Ksh. 6,699

itel is launching a new smartphone in its A series into Kenya, the itel A56.  The device is the successor of the itel A55 and comes with a more improved battery life, updated Operating system and an even bigger screen. The device is actually the first itel A-series phone that comes with a big-screen display.

The itel A56 is a budget-friendly device and will be available across itel stores countrywide for the recommended retail price of Ksh. 6,699.

itel has also announced 100 days replacement for the A56. What this means is that the company will replace your dead phone with the new A56. Replacements will be done at any of the Carlcare service centres in Nairobi, Nakuru, Thika, Meru, Nyeri, Mombasa, Eldoret, Kisumu, Kericho, and Kisii. But of course, terms and conditions have been laid out that govern the deal.

itel A56 Specifications

The itel A56 comes with a 6.0″ FW+ IPS FullScreen (480 x 960 pixels) display. Under its hood, the phone comes with a Quad-core Unisoc SC7731E processor paired with 1GB of RAM and 16GB expandable internal storage.

For the cameras, the itel A56 features a dual rear camera setup with 8.0MP AF + VGA configuration. The selfie camera, on the other hand, is 5.0MP with Flash. Camera features include portrait mode, HDR, AI beauty mode, and automatic scene recognition.

The itel A56 is Android Pie (Go edition) device. Android Go is basically a stripped-down version of Android designed to run on entry-level smartphones with 1GB or less. It is fine-tuned for devices with specific hardware configurations. The pre-installed Go apps like Google Go, YouTube Go, Google Maps Go, and Gmail Go are all smaller in size and consume less data as well as space.
