Tecno Camon C9 Unboxing and first impressions
The much awaited Tecno Camon C9 was finally launched into the Kenyan market last week, confirming the leaks and rumours we had shared with you. The device looks just like the leaked images we had shared with you before and is also a complete upgrade of the Tecno Camon C8.
Tecno mobile describes it as the best camera phone in Africa and most of us were really looking forward to see what the phone has to offer. I unboxed the device earlier today and indeed the device is quite something, a complete upgrade from the C8.
Could Tecno mobile have listened to customers complains and decided to make these improvements? Well, it looks like they did because this latest addition to the Tecno Camon line is quite something.
That aside, the launch happened and we now have the Tecno Camon C9 with us thanks to our friends from Tecno Mobile. In this article we are going to unbox it, giving you first impressions including some images on what you should expect when you choose to spend your money on the Camon C9.
Packaging
You can trust the Tecno Camon C9 to be safe inside its box with the kind of packaging Tecno Mobile gave to it. The phone comes packed in a black and blue box. When you look closely, the black box clearly tells you that the Tecno Camon C9 is all about camera. The logo is a symbol of a camera lens and unless you look closely you might not be able to notice this.
On opening the box the first thing you notice is the device well placed inside the box.
Other additional items inside the box are:
- A USB cable
- A pair of earphones
- USB adapter
- A flip cover
- Some manuals
- An ejector pin
The device itself looks pretty good with a metallic frame and just like its predecessor the Camon C8, there’s a dedicated camera button just on the right side.
Being a camera phone, the first thing that catches your eye is the 13MP front camera located at the top center just underneath the earpiece.
The 13MP back camera on the other hand is also located at the centre with the dual LED flash just below it. Being a camera phone, I will make sure I take a good look at the camera and make it my area of focus when we do the review. I will try put the camera to test to see what the phone has to offer.
All the physical buttons: Volume, power, and camera buttons are located on the right side and they are not hard to play around with since they are very visible. For selfie lovers the camera button really comes in handy.
As had mentioned earlier, the Camon C9 has the micro-USB port located at the bottom while the earphone jack is right at the top.
The back cover is removable so as you can insert your sim card or SD card. The battery is however non-removable.
The full review will be published after we have carefully studied and put the phone to good test. In the meantime, all the content in this article is basically what you should expect when you choose to buy the Tecno Camon C9. Also feel free to share with that what you want us to cover in our review.
