How to Check 2025 KPSEA and KILEA Results Online

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has officially released the performance reports for the 2025 Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) and the Kenya Inclusive Learning Assessment (KILEA).

Over 1.29 million Grade 6 learners and approximately 1.13 million special needs candidates who sat for the assessments in October 2025 can now access their results.

These reports are critical as they facilitate the transition of learners to Grade 7 under the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).

How to Check KPSEA 2025 Results Online

Parents and candidates can access individual performance reports through the official KNEC portal by following these steps:

Note: For KILEA candidates (special needs learners), KNEC has advised that performance reports are not available for individual online download. Parents and guardians should collect these reports directly from their respective schools.

Information for Schools

School heads can access and download comprehensive performance reports for all their candidates through the Competency-Based Assessment (CBA) portal:

  • URL: cba.knec.ac.ke

  • Login: Use the school’s unique username and password.

  • Action: Once logged in, administrators can navigate to the dashboard to print individual learner reports for distribution to parents.

Understanding the Scores

The KPSEA results released this week represent only a portion of the learner’s total grade. Under the CBC framework:

  • 60% of the total score is derived from School-Based Assessments (SBAs) conducted in Grades 4, 5, and 6.

  • 40% is derived from the Summative National Assessment conducted at the end of Grade 6.

The performance reports provide a detailed breakdown of a learner’s competencies and skills across key learning areas, including Mathematics, English, Kiswahili, Integrated Science, and Creative Arts.
