Nokia 2.3 with a 6.2-inch Notched Display Officially Launched
HMD Global has officially launched the Nokia 2.3. Nokia 2.3 is yet another budget-oriented smartphone aimed at those who have a tight budget. For as low as KES 12,000 you don’t set high expectations when it comes to the phone specs.
Nokia 2.3 is a simply built phone made out of polymer materials that sure scream the same when you see it. It features a 6.2-inch, 720p display that is notched and covers a fair share of the phone’s front.
The phone runs on MediaTek’s Helio A22 chipset paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which is expandable via microSD card. The back of the phone has a dual-camera system composed of a 13MP f2.2 primary lens and a 2MP lens for depth sensing. For selfies, the phone has a single 5MP f/2.4 lens.
The device is powered by a 4,000mAh battery. With this amount of capacity, HMD says a full charge can last up to two days.
Like other Nokia devices, this phone is also under Google’s Android One program that promises two years of major OS updates and three years of monthly security patches. Other specs include dual SIM support, Face Unlock, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 5.0, microUSB, FM radio, dedicated Google Assistant button, and headphone jack.
Even with Android 10 already available, HMD still chose to ship this budget device with Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. The update will obviously come in the future but there is no word as per now. Nokia 2.3 will be available in three color variants – Cyan Green, Sand, and Charcoal.
This phone is priced at around $120 which currently converts to around KES 12,300.
