UAE developer Reportage eyes more Kenya projects

UAE-based property developer Reportage Group is looking for new development sites in Kenya, as it pushes ahead with three Nairobi projects worth more than Sh6 billion ($46 million).

The group’s managing director, Andrea Nucera, and its senior leadership toured the projects during a recent visit to Nairobi and assessed potential sites for future developments.

The three projects, DG JKIA, DG West and Enzo Residence, have a combined 819 residential and hotel apartments.

DG JKIA, on Mombasa Road, has 273 hotel apartments close to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and the Standard Gauge Railway. More than 90 percent of its units have been sold, and the project is due for completion in June 2027.

DG West, on Sports Road in Westlands, has 200 hotel apartments. Both projects are under construction.

Enzo Residence in Riverside, launched in August, will have 346 studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments.

“Kenya is an important market for Reportage Group, and our experience here reinforces our confidence in its long-term potential,” said Mr Nucera.

“As we progress with our existing developments, we are also exploring opportunities to expand our presence through additional projects.”

He said the group is focusing on developments that meet market needs while using technology and greener building practices to improve efficiency and the long-term performance of its properties.

The Kenya visit was part of a wider African tour that also took in South Africa, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Angola and Rwanda.

In Angola, the group launched Reportage Bay, part of a development programme at Dubai Investments Park Angola with an estimated investment of about $500 million.

The developer’s interest comes as Kenya’s property and hospitality markets show signs of growth.

Knight Frank’s Kenya Market Update for the first half of 2026 shows international arrivals through Jomo Kenyatta and Moi international airports rose 13.1 percent to 506,622 in the first quarter, compared with the same period in 2025.

The property consultancy also reported a 6.2 percent rise in prime residential sale prices in the first half of the year compared with December 2025, citing a shortage of quality prime housing.

Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Abu Dhabi, Reportage says it has a presence in 25 countries and a portfolio valued at more than $17.7 billion. It recorded $2.6 billion in sales in 2025, up 90 percent year-on-year.
