How Galaxy S25 Gemini Live Redefines Privacy and AI on Smartphones

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has today announced global availability for Gemini Live on the S25 lineup, which provides the first real-time visual AI experience on the Galaxy S25 series. The feature would be available for users on a free update starting April 30, 2025, and would allow users to have conversational-style AI relationships by showing real-world visuals through their device’s camera or on their screen through online sharing.
Making AI Visual, Conversational, and Personal
Users can indulge in real-time suggestions with the Galaxy S25 Gemini Live while arranging their spaces, shopping online, or discovering new ideas with just a point on their device or a screen share. It makes the Galaxy S25 Smart Companion offer an immediate contextual response based on what the camera or the screen sees.
Privacy First: Secure AI Assistance
All interactions through Galaxy S25 Gemini Live are end-to-end encrypted and strongly privacy-protected, Samsung has assured its users. No video or photos are stored without the user’s consent, but they provide full control to either pause or terminate live interactive AI functions anytime. Data processing can happen either on-device or through protected cloud services, relying on the strength of the network and user preference.
Optimized for East African Users
“It is all about making daily tasks more personal, accessible, and secure for our users. In collaboration with Google, we have ensured that Galaxy S25 Gemini Live is molded to real needs across East Africa,” said Anthony Hutia, Head of Mobile Experience Division at Samsung Electronics East Africa.
There will be Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania at the launch of Galaxy S25 Gemini Live. Later in the months, we’ll open up to other countries. The feature mainly supports English at the start and will integrate local languages later in 2025.
