Dimension Data is rebranding to NTT DATA

Dimension Data is rebranding. The company announced on Wednesday that it will be changing its name to NTT Data effective this April, following regulatory approval by the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA).

The company said in a statement that the transition is expected to usher in a new era for it, introducing NTT DATA’s renowned global services not only in Kenya but also in East Africa.

“This evolution promises a differentiated, consistent, and enhanced client experience through world-class platform-delivered managed services,” Dimension Data Managing Director for East and West Africa Richard Hechle.

While operating under the NTT DATA umbrella, the company reaffirmed its commitment to local markets while gaining access to an expanded range of global resources.

Leveraging global best practices, the company said NTT DATA is expected to offer an enriched portfolio of services and tailored industry solutions across sectors such as retail, financial services, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and mining. This will include an extended suite of digital assets, innovative technologies, and industry-specific solutions, enabling the company to address evolving client needs with precision and agility.

Hechle emphasized ongoing investments in local talent development, industry-leading solutions, and sustainable growth across East and West Africa. He underscored the importance of the company’s continuous upskilling local talent saying it was key to remaining abreast with evolving technology trends especially in the advent of Artificial Intelligence.

The Dimension Data rebranding initiative is also expected to pave the way for increased growth and investment opportunities. “Our focus as the leadership team is to grow our business in East and West Africa, with plans to capitalize on emerging opportunities in markets like Ethiopia and Rwanda,” he said.

As Dimension Data transitions into NTT DATA, Hechle noted that the company will remain dedicated to excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction. Positioned to lead the charge in delivering transformative technology solutions globally, the rebranding signals both a continuation of past achievements and the beginning of new possibilities.
