Samsung Galaxy S24 Series now available for purchase in Kenya

Samsung has announced the official availability of the new Galaxy S24 series in Kenya.

The device was launched globally last month and has been available for pre-orders until yesterday. Samsung says the Galaxy S24 series achieved a double-digit increase in pre-order sales compared to its predecessor, with more than 80% of consumers opting for the most premium Galaxy S24 Ultra. 

 “The launch of the Galaxy S24 series demonstrates our initial step toward a new era of AI phones that go beyond the current smartphone,” said Anthony Hutia, Head of Mobile Experience at Samsung Electronics East Africa.

 “Designed to be an essential part of our daily lives, Galaxy AI will permanently change the way people interact with the world. We can’t wait to see how our users enhance and empower their everyday lives with Galaxy AI to open up endless possibilities,” he added. 

The Galaxy S24 series comprises three devices –  the Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24, unleashing new mobile experiences thanks to Galaxy AI.

Samsung went big on AI with the devices delivering some interesting AI features to help transform the way we communicate, create and discover the world. 

The company says Most Galaxy AI experiences will also be extended to previous models through software updates, including the Galaxy S23 series, S23 FE, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, and Tab S9 series.

The Galaxy S24 series also now offers seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates.

From February 14, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 will be available through Safaricom and Samsung outlets across the country. The Galaxy S24 Ultra comes in Titanium Gray, Black, Violet, and Titanium Yellow. The Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 are available in Onyx Black, Marble Gray, Cobalt Violet and Amber Yellow. 

Pricing starts at Ksh174,999 for the Galaxy S24 8+256GB , the Galaxy S24+ 12+256GB variant will go for Ksh189,999 and the 12+512GB variant for Ksh234,999; the top-of-the-line Galaxy S24 Ultra 12+256GB variant will go for Ksh274,999 and the 12+512GB variant will go for Ksh276,999.
