Itel Kenya unveils King Kaka as its new Brand Ambassador

Yesterday, we reported that smartphone company Itel Kenya was planning to announce a new brand ambassador, well, they finally did.

Itel on Tuesday officially unveiled celebrated Kenyan rapper, King Kaka, as the new face of the brand. The company says bringing King Kaka on board as their brand ambassador is informed by the brand’s desire to enhance consumer engagement and endear more fans to her community.

“We are delighted to have King Kaka in the Itel family at this time. The choice of King Kaka as the face of our brand is based on the many similarities between both brands, we are both leaders in our spaces. King Kaka is the king of Rap and street music, Itel is the king of smartphones in the mass markets.’’ a statement from Itel reads

“We are excited to work with King Kaka and have him as our brand ambassador, he actually mirrors the integrity and innovation that we steadfastly follow at Itel.” Peter Xiao, Itel Brand Manager added.

The unveiling was staged offline at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Nairobi with a live stream through Itel Kenya’s social media pages.

King Kaka also expressed his profound joy to walk the journey with Itel. He stated that this is more than a mere partnership; it is a relationship that would bring satisfaction and happiness to our audiences.

“I look forward to the great things we will do together in the days ahead,” he said.

Itel Kenya has been in the local market for years now and is known for its entry and mid-level smartphones. Its latest entry into the market is the Itel A58 which the company unveiled last month.
