The LG InstaView Door-in-Door Refrigerator is the most impressive Kitchen Appliance Innovations of 2021

The LG InstaView Door-in-Door Refrigerator is an interesting piece of tech.  The refrigerators are already selling in Kenya and you can read about the key features, pricing and availability here.

The LG Electronics’s InstaView Refrigerator lets you see what’s inside without ever opening the door by just tapping on the tinted window. When not in use, the panel is dark. Knock on it twice and it becomes completely transparent, allowing you to view the contents.

The fridge also features voice commands so if your hands are full, you can use the voice command and WIFI connectivity through the app, Alexa or Google Assistant to open the door. LG is calling this the “open the refrigerator door” command.

‘’Consumers no longer have to struggle to open the refrigerator door when their hands are full of groceries. New voice recognition technology lets users speak simple voice commands like “Open the refrigerator door.”  the company says.

The new LG InstaView Door-in-Door Refrigerator also features an in-built speaker to announce updates to your schedule like how much ice you have on hand, and the status of the water filter.

To keep foods at optimal temperature, the door-in-door design allows you to access drinks and snacks easily without drops in the refrigeration temperature.  The fridge’s LINEARCooling technology helps maintain a uniform temperature throughout the refrigerator, helping food retain its freshness for as long as 14 days.

For added safety, the water dispenser is illuminated with UV light to help reduce bacteria. LG’s UVnano technology harnesses the power of light to effortlessly and effectively maintain a hygienic and germ-free water dispenser tap.

You can buy the new LG InstaView at LG Brand Shops at Kenrail Towers- Westlands, Garden City Thika Road, Adlife, Mombasa, Carrefour supermarkets, Naivas supermarkets and LG Online shop.
