OPPO Reno 2F Camera Review
We have been using the OPPO Reno 2F for a while now and one of the things we wanted to test is the camera. We already told you everything you need to know about the phone in a full review which you can read here.
We also already did the unboxing video which you can subscribe and watch on our new YouTube channel here.
In the review we did, specifically left out the camera part which is what we will be talking about in this article.
Well, OPPO, as a brand is generally known for making good camera phones and the company, has been known for putting so much on this through their ‘’OPPO The Camera Phone’’ tagline. In fact just the other day, the company showcased an impressive notch-killing under-display camera technology. OPPO showcased this camera technology at the recently ended OPPO INNO DAY summit, an annual global technology convention organized by the Chinese company. This tech is what we could see on the OPPO Find X2 expected to be launched in Q1 2020, according to reports.
Back to the OPPO Reno 2F which is our main focus for now. The OPPO Reno 2F boasts a quad-rear camera setup comprised of a 48-megapixel primary camera; a second 8-megapixel camera; a third 2-megapixel camera and a fourth 2-megapixel camera. The selfie camera which is located inside the pop-up mechanism is 16-megapixel.

It’s a Quad camera setup and also comes with additional features including Dual-LED flash, HDR, panorama. You also get a number of shooting modes – Video, Photo, and Portrait located at the bottom bar for easy access. Additional modes – Night, Pano, Expert, Time-lapse and Slo-Mo are available through an expanded menu.
Photos taken across all the OPPO Reno 2F in good light have some good amount of detail and punch to them. Despite the colours not being perfectly matched across the main cameras, you still get the versatility of a quad set-up.

For selfies, we really think OPPO should have done better. Subjects look overexposed in any lighting condition. In portrait mode, for example, depending on your lighting, the background will be a hit or a miss.
Remember its a pop-up camera so it pops out of the top of the phone to snap your selfies.
Check sample selfies below.
For videos, the OPPO Reno 2F can shoot up to 1080p at 30fps. Quality isn’t the best, but I will give OPPO a plus for stabilization.
We have more photos you can check on our Instagram page but in conclusion, OPPO did a good job on the OPPO Reno 2F when it comes to the camera. We did not like the selfies that much but well……
