Infinix Zero 8 Camera Review

The Infinix Zero 8 is currently selling in Kenya for Ksh.29,000. This device was launched about two weeks ago with one of the key highlights being the camera.

The phone has a total of 6 cameras – a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP Ultra-wide lens camera, a 2MP Macro, and a  2MP depth sensor and another primary 48MP selfie camera and an 8MP sensor for wide-angle shots.

The camera, being one of the main highlights of this phone, is also what Infinix is trying hard to push for from all the current ads running out here.

What really do these cameras offer? Well, both cameras do a great job producing some decent photos with some good amount of details and sharpness. The colours are also pretty good with good lighting.

Worth to mention that the camera module at the back has a unique diamond-shaped arrangement. The selfie camera on the hand features a dual selfie camera setup on the front, the first time we’re seeing this from Infinix.

The camera also has a number of modes including  Google Lens, Documents, Panorama, AI cam(default), 64MP mode, Beauty, Bokeh, SuperNight, Video and Slow Motion among others. These modes can be activated once you open the camera app on your Huawei Y7p.

Selfies

For the first time ever, Infinix has released a device with two selfie cameras (48 + 8MP), fitting them in a punch-hole setup.

The selfies produced are quite sharp and detailed and the portrait mode produces better results. The selfie camera also has a super night mode. Check sample selfies below.

The selfies are good and you can share them on social media or any other platform you use to upload your favourite photos.

Main Camera

At the back, there’s a 64-megapixel main sensor headlining the quad-camera setup housed in the diamond-style bump which does a pretty good job. There is also an 8MP Ultra-wide lens camera, a 2MP Macro, and a  2MP depth sensor.

Outdoors photos shot with decent lighting are great. Check sample shots below.

Low-light photos, however, have some little noise. The sharpness might not be the best but well, they’re not that bad either.

The Super night mode was my favourite here. The photos are impressive for a budget phone. See below:

The Infinix Zero 8 camera also allows you to zoom upto 10X although the quality of the photos ain’t that good. The quality starts degrading after 5X zoom. The phone can also record video up to 30 frames per second in 4K and 60fps in Full HD for both the front-facing and the back shooters. There’s also an inbuilt short video mode that lets you shoot short videos of up to 15 seconds. Good for people who love using platforms like TikTok.
