Connected Kenya Summit 2022 kicks off in Diani


ICT Authority (ICTA) is hosting the 11th edition of the Connected Kenya Summit from 11th-14th April 2022 in Diani, Kwale County starting today.

The thought leadership forum which was first held in 2009 will bring together over 1000 ICT local and international industry leaders and experts under one roof. Participants will engage on conversations on how ICT will support the different sectors of the economy and society through digital skills, digital infrastructure as well as ICT innovations.

There will also be conversations around emerging technologies such as Blockchain, Internet of Things, big data, and Artificial Intelligence, among others.

The theme for this year’s summit is “Accelerating Digital Transformation”.

According to the ICT Authority, this year’s theme seeks to build on foundations set in the last decade to drive conversations on accelerating digital gains, opportunities in the transformation of Kenya’s villages to Smart cities and accelerating business, closing the digital skills gap. Among the summit topics that will contextualise this theme in forging new partnerships for accelerating growth, improving service delivery and the livelihood of every Kenyan.

Billed as one the largest ICT forums in the region, the Connected Summit 2022 is being sponsored by Kenya’s leading telco Safaricom, Telkom Kenya+ Dimension Data, Amazon Web Services, TESPOK, Dell, Intel among other sponsors.
