Bosch calling on African startups to apply for its smart mobility pitch competition


German multinational engineering and technology company Bosch is inviting African startups to compete in its smart mobility startup competition. Headquartered in Gerlingen, Bosch says the competition is open to smart mobility startups in the region.

Bosch, according to a report published by Tech In Africa is looking for seed-stage startups with passion over-delivering innovative smart mobility solutions across specified themes. This includes Internet of Things (IoT), connectivity, distribution and logistics, ride-hailing, city infrastructure, as well as electric vehicles and renewable energy. Insurance and data tracking systems are also feasible to be implemented in the notion.

The ten winners of this competition will have the luxury to present and showcase their own grand designs in Johannesburg, South Africa on this upcoming 4 November.

The goal is to engage in a fresh solution towards addressing mobility issues. Three startup finalists of the Demo Day, picked by Bosch and Founders Factory Africa on the day, will stand a chance of winning up to $30,000 as well as being the first in line for collaboration with Bosch.
