Safaricom’s system maintenance rescheduled


Safaricom has rescheduled the system maintenance that was to happen on today, Sunday from 11 pm to 4 am on Monday.

The telco said in a statement that the maintenance has been rescheduled to a later date.

‘’We hear you, and we value your feedback. The scheduled system maintenance later this evening has been rescheduled to a later date to allow you to enjoy a worry-free M-PESA on this sport-packed evening.’’ the statement read.

The service provider had on Saturday warned its subscribers of the scheduled maintenance. 

During this period, access to Lipa na M-PESA, Paybill and Buy Goods services, International Money Transfer (Western Union), M-PESA Global, the M-PESA App, and the mySafaricom App were to be affected.

The Safaricom system maintenance had been scheduled “to meet our promise to always offer worry-free superior customer experiences”. Safaricom had said in a statement.

“All other services, including calls, data, SMS, and other M-PESA services, will remain available as usual,” The statement further read.
