Samsung has announced today that customers in Kenya and other markets now buy the Galaxy S23 smartphones following the lapse of the preorder pre-order.
Samsung officially unveiled the series, comprising the Galaxy S23, S23 Plus, and S23 Ultra earlier in February. Pre-orders started from 2nd to 28th February 2023.
Samsung says preorder results were even higher than those of the Galaxy S22 series, with 60% of consumers opting for the most premium Galaxy S23 Ultra.
“The great momentum we’re witnessing speaks to customers’ excitement about products that push the envelope and give them the freedom to express themselves creatively,” said TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics. “This year’s preorder numbers echo our customers’ strong trust in our brand and demonstrate how our commitment to ground-breaking innovation and sustainability continues to resonate with consumers.”
The Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 will now be widely available through carriers and retailers, and on samsung.com, in four nature-inspired matte hues: Phantom Black, Cream, Green, and Lavender.
The devices are also available in a variety of unique, online exclusive colors, only available at Samsung.com. The Galaxy S23 Ultra is available in Graphite, Lime, Sky Blue, and Red. The Galaxy S23 and S23+ feature two online exclusive colors, Graphite and Lime.

We already have a working agreement with KCB and Safaricom as the first two official device financing partners and are working on getting more partners on board to allow more Kenyans to acquire our devices at a pace that works for them.
