Oppo Reno8 T 5G launched in Kenya for Ksh. 49,999


Oppo has today announced the newest addition to its popular Reno8 series, OPPO Reno8 T  into the Kenyan market. The new series comprises the 5G and 4G variants both of which will be available for pre-order starting from February, 17th to 28th, 2023. 

The 5G model which Oppo will be really pushing is powered by a Snapdragon 695 chipset, while the 4G variant has a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC under the hood.  

Oppo Reno  8T 5G sports a 6.7-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,412 pixels) curved OLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate, 93 percent screen-to-body ratio, and 360Hz touch sampling rate. The 4G variant, on the other hand, features a 6.43-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with up to 90Hz refresh rate. 

The Reno8 T 5G implements Oppo’s first 108MP Portrait Camera and also features the company’s exclusive 40x Microlens and a 2MP Depth Camera together with a 32MP Selfie Camera. Oppo says the 108MP Portrait Camera, utilizes NonaPixel Plus binning technology and AI Portrait Super Resolution, capturing ultra-clear, high-resolution images in any scenario. The Microlens the company notes provides 40x magnification for exceptional detail offering exceptional detail for users when exploring the microscopic world beyond the naked eye.  

The Oppo Reno8 T 5G offers a range of portrait features including Selfie HDR, Bokeh Flare Portrait, and Dual-View Video which users can take advantage of.

For the battery, the Oppo Reno8 T 5G features a 4,800mAh battery with the 8T 4G having a 5,000mAh battery. By adopting 67W SUPERVOOCTM Flash Charge, Oppo claims the  Reno8 T 5G can charge the 4800mAh battery, up to 100% in just 44 minutes, and a 5-minute charge is enough to enjoy 5.59 hours of phone calls or 3.56 hours of videos. 

The phones are available in Sunrise Gold and Midnight Black color options. 

Pre-orders can be made through e-commerce platform, Kilimall, and across all Oppo stores in Kenya. The Oppo Reno8 T 5G is priced at Ksh. 49,999 while the Reno8 T is priced at Ksh. 37,999 

At the same time, Oppo is introducing Oppo Enco Buds2 priced at Ksh. 2,999.
