Realme C25Y with 50MP primary camera and 5000mAh Battery officially launched in Kenya


Realme has officially launched its latest smartphone in the C series, the Realme C25Y in Kenya.  The new Realme phone is the first model in the C series to feature a 50-megapixel primary camera.

The Realme C25Y will be available for Ksh.19,000.

Realme C25Y Specs and Price

The Realme C25Y comes with a 6.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720×1600 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. It is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Unisoc T610 processor that features 2 cores clocked at 1.8GHz and 6 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. The graphics are handled by ARM Mali G52 GPU with a clock speed of 614.4MHz. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

The Realme C25Y runs Android 11 and is powered by a 5000mAh battery that the company says can last for 48 days in standby mode. The Realme C25Y supports proprietary fast charging.

For the cameras, the Realme C25Y on the rear packs a triple camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture; a 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel camera with an f/2.4 aperture. As the first phone in the Realme C Series to feature a 50MP mode, Realme say the C25Y provides clearer photo shooting, enabling users to put out large pixel photos up to 8160*6144. In addition, the camera department also supports AI beauty function, HDR mode, panoramic view mode, Portrait mode, Timelapse function, Expert mode, and offers several filters.

The phone has a single front camera setup for selfies, featuring an 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture.

The Realme C25y supports two Nano-SIM cards and a MicroSD card slot for additional storage up to 256GB, bringing more room to store games, photos and files.

The C25Y comes in Glacier Blue and Metal Grey and is priced at about Ksh.19,000.
