Battery life is one of the top considerations for anyone looking to buy a new smartphone. Even though batteries have been improved over time, the demand for more juice is always increasing as smartphones get more sophisticated. Currently, the market is flooded with different smartphone brands with great battery life. Very few phones have the stamina to power the device for a full day.
For brands like Nokia, adding good battery life has been one of their brand positioning.

HMD Global has mostly been pushing great battery life to the affordable and mid-range options, simply because those are the types of phones the company mostly makes.
The Nokia 5.4 that we recently reviewed for example, has the potential to last you up to two days on a single charge thanks to the 4,000mAh battery.
Phones like the Nokia 3.4 also give you better performance and lets you do more of what you like for longer with its signature two-day battery life. The Adaptive Battery technology prioritises power to the apps you use the most, so you can do more of what you want.
When HMD launched the Nokia 3.2 in June 2019 in Kenya, it said it took a holistic view of battery life. The phone combined a larger battery than many premium smartphones with efficient hardware and software ingenuity.
To squeeze every last drop out of the huge battery, the Adaptive Battery feature introduced in Android 9 Pie managed background applications using AI, learning from user behavior to know when to throttle or increase power to specific apps or processes. The same feature we have seen on the Nokia 3.4.

As of 2019, the most basic problem that we were having with regular smartphones was battery life. Last year though, HMD Global was among the companies that made smartphones with great battery life. We have reviewed a number of those phones on this website.
